Timeline of the Perry Russo /
Sciambra Memo Episode

There has been a lot of misinformation about the record surrounding Perry Russo and an item known as the "Sciambra" memo, Moo Sciambra's record of what Russo had told him regarding an assassination conspiracy.

  • February 22, 1967. Ferrie dies; news of his role in Garrison's investigation hits the press.

  • February 24, 1967. Russo comes forward to tell that he heard Ferrie talk about killing Kennedy and about Ferrie's friends.

  • February 25, 1967. Second Russo article is published and Sciambra drives to Baton Rouge to interview Russo. At that time, according to both Russo and Sciambra, Bertrand was discussed.

  • February 27, 1967. Russo is administered sodium pentathol under supervision of coroner Dr. Nicholas Chetta. Sciambra asks Russo to relate his story again to see if he was telling the truth. In this session Russo identifies Clay Bertrand as participating in the gathering at Ferrie's with Ferrie saying "We are going to kill John F. Kennedy".

  • February 27, 1967. Sciambra takes notes - divided between notes relating to this party and notes on everything else Russo told. These notes get expanded into two separate memos both of which are started on this day.

  • February 28, 1967. Sciambra completes the first memo - detailing what Russo said under the serum in confirmation of what he had originally told Sciambra.

  • March 1, 1967. Russo undergoes the first hypnosis session with Dr. Fatter, in which, by himself, he comes up with the date, the place, the group of people, and the 'big guy' with 'white hair' whose name was what? "Clem" with the last name of "Bertrand".

AT THIS POINT, somewhere between March 6-9, Sciambra finished the infamous "Sciambra Memorandum." He testified to this in court. No witness was brought in to contend this. So Sciambra KNEW that Russo placed Bertrand at Ferrie's during the 'assassination party' session BEFORE he finished this memo. There is no doubt that his 'omission' was nothing more than the error of saying Russo had met Ferrie only "two" times instead of saying, more correctly, "two OTHER times", and as his testimony made clear - he never INTENDED *this* memo to be about the party anyway. That was the focus of the FIRST Sciambra memo - the one dealing with the truth serum session, finished on February 28.

  • March 12, 1967. The SECOND hypnosis session. The one with the TV screen in the middle of the session. The one ALL researchers up to this point have been quoting from erroneously as representative of Russo being led, when all of us who have seen Russo's FIRST session know this is not AT ALL the case.
